The University of Wollongong (abbreviated as UOW) is a public research university in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia, located about 80 kilometers south of Sydney. In 1951, the New South Wales University of Technology (later renamed the University of New South Wales) opened a section in Wollongong to undertake diploma courses. The University of New South Wales established the Wollongong University College in 1961, and the college was officially opened in 1962. The University of Wollongong became an independent university in 1975. The institution has awarded over 120,000 degrees, diplomas, and certifications since its inception. Its students, who were primarily from the Illawarra region, now hail from more than 140 nations, with international students accounting for more than 30% of the total.
Both domestically and internationally, the University of Wollongong has grown into a multi-campus institution. The Wollongong campus, the university’s main campus, is located five kilometers north-west of the city center and spans 82.4 hectares with 94 permanent structures. There are other regional university campuses in Bega, Batemans Bay, Moss Vale, and Shoalhaven, as well as three Sydney campuses: the University of Wollongong Sydney Business School, the South Western Sydney campus in Liverpool, and the Southern Sydney campus in Loftus. 1) University of Wollongong Diplomat Scholarship:
This is a great scholarship for international students who aim to study in Australia. In this scholarship program, you will receive a 30% tuition fee waiver on any undergraduate degree excluding Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics, Exercise Science and Rehabilitation, Education, Psychology, and Social Work degrees.
The total amount of the scholarship is a 30% tuition fee reduction for the minimum duration of an eligible course.
✅ Eligibility Criteria For University of Wollongong:
a) You must be enrolled in any UOW undergraduate course in 2022 (Australian campuses only), excluding; Nursing, Nutrition, and Dietetics, Exercise Science and Rehabilitation, Education, Social Work, and Psychology.
b) Be an international student.
c) You must have excellent results in one of the following categories:
- Australian Year 12 or equivalent international secondary school qualification;
- Foundation Studies programs approved for direct admission to Bachelor degrees and offered at an institution recognized by UOW;
- Diploma or other academic pathway program approved for admission with credit exemption from an institution with which UOW has a formal agreement.
d) You must not be in receipt of any other scholarship, sponsorship, bursary, or discount
e) You must be a holder of an Australia Diplomatic visa 955.
2) University Excellence Scholarship
Another scholarship for those who want to study in Australia is the University Excellence scholarship offered by UOW. In this, a 30% tuition fee waiver will be given for any undergraduate degree excluding Doctor of Medicine, Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics, Exercise Science and Rehabilitation, Education, Social Work, and Psychology.

a) The student must be enrolled in any University of Wollongong undergraduate course in 2022 (Australian campuses only), excluding; Nursing, Nutrition, and Dietetics, Exercise Science and Rehabilitation, Education, Social Work, and Psychology.
b) Must be an international student.
c) You must have excellent results in one of the following categories:
- Australian Year 12 or equivalent international secondary school qualification;
- Foundation Studies programs approved for direct admission to Bachelor degrees and offered at an institution recognized by University of Wollongong;
