Mount Aloysius College has developed the International Grants for the academic year 2022-2023 to make college education in the United States more accessible for international students.
These grants will be given to international undergraduate and graduate students who seek to study at MAC. The selected students will receive up to $14,000 in funding.

Mount Aloysius College is a Cresson, Pennsylvania-based private Catholic college. It was founded in 1853 and follows the Sisters of Mercy’s heritage. In the Allegheny Mountains, the college is situated on a 193-acre campus.
Mount Aloysius College was established in 1853 by a tiny community of Sisters of Mercy, while St. Aloysius Academy was built in a tinner’s shop in Loretto, Pennsylvania. The academy relocated to its current home in Cresson in 1897. In 1939, Mount Aloysius Junior College was founded on the initiative of Sister Mary de Sales Farley, R.S.M. The college’s charter was then broadened and changed in 1991 to allow bachelor’s degrees to be conferred. The college’s charter was revised once more in 2000, this time to include master’s degrees.
Mount Aloysius College is a liberal arts college where students can earn associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees in the arts and sciences. Approximately 3,000 undergraduate students are enrolled. Students can study in one of the college’s more than 70 undergraduate and graduate programmes. The student-to-faculty ratio at the college is 11 to 1, with an average class size of 14.
The college is 90 minutes east of Pittsburgh and 25 minutes west of Altoona, Pennsylvania. It is located in west-central Pennsylvania’s Allegheny Mountains. The campus is set on 193 acres of gorgeous mountain property, with 250 miles of hiking trails and other outdoor activities in the surrounding area.
- Administration Building – “Main” was constructed in 1890 and is home to many classrooms, faculty offices, and the college’s administrative offices. The Mount Aloysius College Wolf-Kuhn Gallery and the Health Services and Counseling and Disability Services are also located here.
- Academic Hall – Academic is the home of the college’s psychology, history/political science, religious studies, American Sign Language/English interpreting, and pre-law courses. The ASL/EI department’s interactive labs and customized classrooms are located here.
- Pierce Hall/The Learning Center for Health Science and Technology – Pierce’s renovations were completed in 2018, and now the building offers medical simulation labs, as well as meeting rooms and study areas.
