The University of Sudbury (UofS) is a bilingual and tri-cultural institution based in the Jesuit tradition of educating the whole person, and committed since 1975 to promoting the culture and perspectives of Indigenous peoples. The UofS is Northern Ontario’s longest-standing postsecondary institution and a founding member of the Laurentian Federation.
Located in Sudbury, on the traditional lands of the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek and Wahnapitae First Nations and approximately four hours north of Toronto, the University of Sudbury is surrounded by nature, but also many urban attractions. The UofS offers undergraduate programs in both French and English in Philosophy, Indigenous Studies and Religious Studies, and in French in Folklore and Ethnology, and Journalism– all of which are accredited towards a Laurentian University degree, given the Federation structure.
Students of the Laurentian Federation can benefit from all courses, services and events offered by any of the four universities on the shared campus, providing many options for a tailored experience.
