Founded in 1867, Laval University ranks among the largest Canadian universities. It has some 43,000 students, some 4,150 professors, lecturers and other teaching and research staff spread across 17 faculties and over 60 departments, schools and institutes. It is a large university on a human scale, located on a green and wooded campus, in the heart of Quebec City.
Choosing it means building your future in an exceptional living environment, where everything is done to facilitate success: a choice of program among some 500 offered at the three study cycles; funded stays and internships abroad; recognized quality of supervision; a very lively cultural, sporting and social life.

One of the best campus...i have visited in Quebec.
First-rate University with the most impressive variety of professional studies and the most qualified Professors anywhere. This hidden gem in my opinion rivals and surpasses any university in Canada. I would advise any student to learn French because it will be worthwhile not just for the experience, excellent professors and a world-class library, but also for their sanity because the culture and joie de vivre that can’t be found elsewhere is uplifting, not to mention being in Canada’s most beautiful City and Province. Forget the idiotic McLean’s rating, this place defies rating because it’s in a class all of its own.
