Many international students are stuck in their home countries, but the UK has opened doors for its international students. The students have to quarantine first, which is quite expensive; however, many UK universities are coming forward to help their international students. Some universities are partially covering while another cover fully quarantine costs.
Here are some universities that are helping international students:
1. Cranfield University
Cranfield University has announced to pay quarantine fees for its international students. Cranfield University will cover the cost of any Covid testing on arrival in the UK. It’ll also provide accommodation on the Cranfield campus with all meals for international students.
2. The University of Bristol
The University of Bristol has also come forward to help its international students who are travelling this September. The University will help with the costs of coronavirus testing and quarantine where required. If you are arriving from or have transited through:
- A green list country, it will cover the cost of the test package you need.
- An amber list country, it will cover the cost of the test package you need.
- A red list country will reimburse you for the cost of this hotel stay (currently £1,750).

3. The University of Salford
The University of Salford provides help to those who must’ve booked and paid for the UK Government Managed Quarantine Hotel a financial contribution of up to 750 pounds per student and 250 pounds for one dependant.
Along with this, it is also offering all eligible international students a 300 pounds bursary to spend on any device for learning, including a laptop and data to start their course online.
UK universities are generously helping their international students by offering other financial support forms, including scholarships, bursaries, hardship funds, tuition fee discounts, and reimbursements. This help is for those students who are coming from red-list countries.
