Canadian Mennonite University is an Anabaptist Christian institution offering academic programs in the arts, music, sciences, and business. Located in Winnipeg and chartered by the Province of Manitoba in 1998, CMU is characterized by excellent scholarship (nearly 90 percent of CMU’s faculty have earned doctorates); engaged learning (with students supported actively through personal relationships with and mentoring from faculty and staff); welcoming community (on-campus living and many opportunities for involvement); faith integration (inviting students to engage questions and commitments of Christian faith) and work-integrated learning (extending the classroom through practicums in all degree programs).
CMU is guided by four commitments: educating for peace and justice; learning through thinking and doing; extending generous hospitality with radical dialogue; and modeling invitational community. A practicum component in all degree programs extends learning through community engagement.
Welcoming students from across Canada and around the world, CMU offers 19 Bachelor of Arts majors as well as Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Music, and Bachelor of Music Therapy degrees, as well as graduate degrees in theology, ministry, peacebuilding and collaborative development, and an MBA.
