This award is available to students who wish to pursue a degree programme at the university. The pupils will receive a monetary award of £2,000 each.

Ten Fellows of the Royal Society, twenty-one Fellows of the Royal Academy of Engineering, one Fellow of the British Academy, and six Fellows of the Academy of Social Sciences are among the university’s current and emeritus professors. Surrey has produced a number of prominent alumni, including Olympic gold medalists, a number of top politicians, and a number of notable figures in the arts, sports, and academics. When adopting post-nominal letters after their degree, graduates commonly abbreviate the University of Surrey to Sur.
